Our client is a diversified, privately held industrial group with a 140 year long tradition and expertise in rolling stock manufacturing. The strategic focus of the group over the next 5 years will be the modernisation of manufacturing processes and upgrading of product and model range – including DMU / EMU – with the objective to become a significant and highly competitive European player.
In order to guide and manage the implementation of a substantial investment program at their production, repair & maintenance facilities in Romania, we are now looking for the

Production Director – Rolling Stock
Romania

Key tasks & responsibilities:

•     Overall responsibility for 800+ workforce
•     Ensure successful implementation of 2011-15 investment program
•     Manage all production and maintenance support activities at the factory
•     Ensure to meet targets for volume, quality, cost &deliveries
•     Lead & develop current organisation, personnel and technology
•     Coordinate all logistics and production planning activities
•     Ensure overall HSE norms are followed
•     Guide introduction of new DMU/ EMU models
•     Liaise with international clients and suppliers
•     Develop partnerships and licensing programs

Main requirements:
    Technical university graduate

•     Min 6 years senior management experience within rolling stock and/ or  cars maintenance industry
•     International corporate exposure
•     Proven track record in managing multicultural teams
•     Strategic thinker with excellent organisational and motivational competences
•     Demonstrated ability to implement large-scale investment plans
•     Capable to work in complex environments and under pressure
•     Energetic, enthusiastic & dedicated
•     English fluent speaker
•     Personal mobility & willing to relocate to Romania
